Revealed by a double-sided Jacquard weave, the visual motifs of this merino wool and cashmere blanket draw inspiration from specialized jockey jerseys and horse rugs created at the Hermes workshop on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré that operated from the beginning of the 20th century up to the 1960s. On the principle of heraldry, the study of coats of arms, each stable had its own motif. These motifs were emblazoned on the jerseys worn by jockeys and on the horse rugs, making it possible to identify the stables during races.

Revealed by a hand-woven jacquard weave, the graphic motifs of this line of cashmere blankets and cushions are inspired by a 1929 Hermès advertising poster. Refined and stylized by the Hermès design studio, it became the H Drapeau design, while its graphic and colorful lines are reminiscent of the emblematic Avalon blanket. The composition of the drawing and juxtaposed lines reinforces the interplay of colors and contrasts to give the appearance of a superimposed material.

Created by the Hermès Studio, the "Ithaque" design is inspired by the Ionic columns that adorned the Greek temples. Its name derives directly from the Greek island fabled to have been the home of the hero Ulysses. The blanket features two mirrored columns that create an H, for a studied and graphical design, presenting a new take on the emblematic initials of Hermès.

The design of these plaids and cushions was created by Studio Hermès, and inspired by an Hermès advertising visual that first appeared in the May 1929 issue of Vogue to present travel accessories. This extremely graphic, shaded H has been retained from the original visual in intense and bold color variations. Its name H Riviera subtly evokes the emergence of sunbathing in the 1930s.
